BANGALORE: Security has been stepped in the city following the city police recovering a crude bomb from a bus here late on Thursday night.
Police sources told UNI that the conductor of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus had found an object under the last seat around midnight. Suspecting it to be a bomb, he alerted the beat police at the city's main bus stand.
Police recovered the object and confirmed that it was a crude bomb containing gelatin. They took it to an isolated spot near Mysore road and defused it.
Security has been tightened at all important places, including railway stations, and other sensitive areas.
