Bombardier delivers 100th coach to Delhi Metro

German trainmaker Bombardier has supplied its 100th coach manufactured at its plant in Gujarat to the Delhi Metro as part of its deal to supply over 400 coaches to the new age transport system.

DMRC had signed a deal with Bombardier for procuirng over 80 four-car trains by 2011.

Majority of the trains will be added to DMRC's fleet before the October Commonwealth Games.

The German will produce 424 broad gauge coaches for Delhi Metro’s phase- II.

The 100th coach manufactured at the comoany's site in Savli in Vadodara was handed over to DMRC officials recently, a Bombardier India official said.

He said Bombardier is producing one coach every day to complete the Delhi metro’s order in time.
