A sitting MLA of ruling BSP today died after he suffered a cardiac arrest, officials said here.
Malik Taufeeq Ahmad (60), who was MLA from Doomariaganj seat, suffered a heart attack while he was on his way to attend a function and died on the spot, they said.
Several senior leaders including local MP Jagdambika Pal have expressed grief over demise of the MLA.
