CBSE Class 12 results: Delhi's M Gayatri scores 99.2%; girls outshine boys

The overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12 results 2015 is 82 %.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday declared the results for class XII examination.

M Gayatri, a student of New Green Field School in Saket, Delhi has scored the highest marks. Gayatri has scored a total of 496 out of 500, i.e. 99.2%. Mythili Mishra from Amity International School, Noida, at the second position, scored 495 out of 500. 

The overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12 results 2015 is 82 %.

This year again, girls have outshone boys. The pass percentage of girls stood at 87.56% as compared to 77.77 % of the boys.

The overall pass percentage was marginally lower than last year where 82.70 % students had passed the exam as against 82 % this year.

Thiruvananthapuram Region registered the highest pass percentage at 95.41.

In all, 10,40,368 candidates had registered for class XII examination this year, an increase of about 1.2 % candidates over that of last year.

There will be post-result counselling for the students. It will be made available to students from today itself. The counselling will go on till June 8. The toll-free number for this is – 1800118004.
