Taking time off his busy schedule, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram is in Thekkady hill resport in Kerala with his family on a two-day vacation.
Chidamabram, his wife Nalini and son Karthik and his family members, arrived in Kerala Friday afternoon by road from Madurai in Tamil Nadu, official sources said.
They took a cruise in the famous Periyar Lake in the afternoon, enjoying the panoramic beauty of Kerala's eco tourism hub.
Security has been tightened in and around the area in view of Chidamabaram's visit. He is scheduled to leave the spot tomorrow, the sources said.
