Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and spokesperson Nalin Kohli on Monday said that Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to India from Wednesday would open many opportunities of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
"With the change of the government and the indications that are taking place it is evident that India will soon be seen as another or one of the major investment destinations. We have already seen the successful visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Japan and the Chinese President himself is going to be here in next few days, I am sure it will open many opportunities of cooperation between the two countries," said Kohli.
President Xi is scheduled to visit India from September 17, as China is planning to scale up investment in India. During his visit Prime Minister Modi will be discussing commerce and trade related issues with him. Earlier this month, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had also visited Chine for three days to prepare the groundwork for President Xi's visit to India.
