A CID (Crime) team, which was camping in Rajasthan to learn about the whereabouts of the absconding cops there, has returned empty-handed, while other CID (Crime) squads are hunting for Ashish Pandya in the vicinity of his house in Bhuj.
The investigation may not gain momentum till the CID (Crime) succeeds in either of the operations. Sources said that all the cops in Rajasthan are absconding since the first arrest in the Tulsi Prajapati murder case. The sources said that the team had returned from Udaipur and Jaipur districts without achieving any major breakthrough.
Investigating officer and deputy superintendent of police, RK Patel, told DNA that summons had been issued to all the absconding policemen at their residences, work places and other locations where they could be found. Patel also said that no major breakthrough in the case can be expected until absconding police inspector Pandya is nabbed.
Sources also said that the CID (Crime) has taken a master CD from a BSNL officer and sent it to FSL to check the call details between the officials concerned in the crime.
