Company claims their drug will prevent, cure swine flu

The company claims the drug labelled Ayusrem has saved 1900 patients so far and that it prevented the spread of the H1N1 virus.

A Chennai based ayurvedic and unani medicines research foundation today claimed to have formulated a drug to prevent and cure swine flu.

Secretary and chief executive officer of Ramoni Research  Foundation, Dr K Balasubramanian and director, Centre for Herbal Sciences, Madras University, Dr N Raaman, inventors of the drug, labelled Ayusrem, told reporters that a number of antiviral plants had gone into its formulation.

Dr  Balasubramanain claimed Ayusrem has saved 1900 patients
so far and that it prevented the spread of the H1N1 virus.

He said the Food and Drugs Administration of Puducherry has certified the drug and granted license.

He said the Foundation has inked an agreement with Puducherry based Dr Milton`s Laboratories to produce the drug and also entered into an agreement with Berjayaa Marketing Private Limited, Chennai to market it in India.

An agreement has also been signed with Malaysia based Leonex Systems to market the drug in Far East countries, he said.
