A day after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inquired from an Indore resident status of a complaint he had made on government’s helpline, Indore Municipal Corporation commissioner asked the officials to act promptly on local complaints received on this helpline.

Commissioner Rakesh Singh, who was in Bhopal for official work, returned to city on Friday and held a meeting with corporation officials, instructing them to attend such complaints on priority.

“Appropriate action should be taken to solve complaints lodged on CM’s helpline within 24 hours.
If the complaint includes any financial or budget related query, then the concerned officer should mark his/her comment along with the date of solving the complaint,” Singh told the officials during the meeting.

He also asked the concerned officials to monitor the helpline on daily basis and check for local complaints to ensure solutions of the problems related to their respective department as early as possible.

“A separate portal to deal with complaints lodged on this helpline is likely to start functioning within a week. The portal will help officials check the complaints related to their respective department and provide immediate solutions to them,” said IMC additional commissioner SK Kathuria.
