Goa will host a two-day conference of State power ministers from across the country on June 16-17 to review, plan and monitor the sector.
"State power ministers' conference has been scheduled to take place on June 16 and 17 in Goa," a communication from the Union Power Ministry to its Goa counterpart read. The conference will be inaugurated by Minister of State for Power, Coal and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal.
"It will be attended by power ministers and secretaries of the State and Union territories and senior officials of Power and Public Sector undertakings of the ministry," it stated. The conference will review, plan and monitor the power scenario across the country.
