Congress leader Sharmistha, President Pranab Mukherjee's daughter, exposes sexual harasser on Facebook

Congress leader Sharmishtha Mukherjee, who is also the daughter of President Pranab Mukherjee, has spoken up about being sexually harassed on Facebook.

She has said that a man called Partha Mandal has been harassing her sending her obscene messages on Facebook chat. She said that instead of simply blocking and reporting him she wanted to expose people like Mandal so that others don't become his target.

Some of Mandal's lewd messages were: 

"Ki pore sue acho sexy. Bolo sona. Tomar bra size koto?" 

(Loose translation in English)
"Hello sexy, what are you wearing? Say darling. What’s your bra size?"

"This pervert Partha Mandal is sending me dirty sexual messages. My 1st reaction was to ignore & block him. But then I thought the silence wud encourage him to find other victims. Just blocking & reporting is not enough. I strongly feel such ppl shd be publicly exposed & humiliated. I'm posting screenshots of his profile & messages he sent me. I'm also tagging him. Pls share this post & tag this rat as a msg that these pervert acts will not be taken lightly.

Last month, 13 girls had spoken out on social media about being molested by Jadavpur University student

All these girls united together and issued a joint statement on Facebook, accusing Ekalavya Chaudhuri, son of Chandrayee Niyogi, a professor of Department of English of Jadavpur University. Chaudhuri is also a student of the same university, subjecting them to sexual abuse physically and through lewd messages on the social media. Some of the girls have shared screen shots of their online chats with Ekalavya.
