NEW DELHI: A city court on Monday allowed the plea of BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul, caught in a drugs scandal, to go to Mumbai, but on completion of his narco analysis test on July 26 and 27.
Additional Sessions Judge S N Gupta, however, dismissed his plea for re-possession of his mobile phone. He could recover his mobile phone from the investigating officer only after the chargesheet was filed, he ruled.
Rahul had sought permission to leave for Mumbai saying he had no place to stay in Delhi once he vacates his father's official bungalow. The prosecution had opposed the plea claiming he may tamper with evidence in the case in Mumbai.
Rahul had fallen ill and his late father's private secretary Bibek Moitra had died after a late night drinks and drugs party at the 7, Safdarjang Road residence on June 2nd.
