The Maoists today killed a CPI(M) activist in Bankura district, police said.
Sachidanada Karmakar, 35, was taken to the jungles from his house at Ranibandh area by a group of 30-35 armed ultras.
His body was found later in the day, police said adding that posters written by Maoists were also found, which claimed that the CPI(M) activist was punished for being a "police informer".
