The CPI(M) local committee member Asit Mondal, who was shot by suspected Maoists last evening, succumbed to his injuries, party sources said today.
Mondal, the CPI(M) local committee member of Kumra Anchal in Bandwan, was shot at by the suspected Maoist when he was buying rope at Rajauli village market.
He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries late last night, they added.
