A Dalit man was today arrested for allegedly raping her 13-year-old daughter several times during the last three years in Chattari area in the district, police said.
The victim was living alone with her father, Dharamveer, in Runi village after her mother died four years ago, according to SO Chattari DK Sharma.
The girl was allegedly raped several times by her father, in his 50s, during the past three years, he said.
When relatives came to know about the sexual assault on the minor girl, they took her with them. But the accused brought her back after some time, he said.
With the help of relatives, the traumatised girl filed a complaint with the police, leading to the arrest.
The medical report of the girl was awaited, police said.
