Hoping to turn around the negative atmosphere around the Commonwealth Games (CWG), which has been marred by controversies one after the other, the Delhi government has decided to launch a campaign ‘Delhi Celebrates’.

Taking a cue from the ‘I love New York’ logo campaign, one of the most successful campaigns branding a city, chief minister Sheila Dikshit plans to unveil a logo. The campaign will coincide with the clearing of the debris across the city which has brought a bad name to the Delhi government.

“‘Delhi Celebrates’ campaign will be launched by the end of this month or in the first week of September,” Rina Ray of Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation told DNA.

“We will also organise food and cultural festivals at Dilli Haats next month to create an atmosphere of celebrations,” Ray said.
