NEW DELHI: A driver of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's pilot vehicle was accused of threatening a TV channel cameraman with dire consequences if he did not settle a dispute with his neighbour in a north-west Delhi locality.
Jangvir Singh Vashisht, the driver, had gone to the Mukherjee Nagar residence of Alok Bhatnagar along with a constable and the neighbour on Tuesday night and allegedly threatened the cameraman and his family, police said on Thursday.
Vashisht, who reached the spot in the pilot vehicle, then allegedly threatened Bhatnagar and his family with dire consequences if he did not immediately resolve the dispute with his neighbour on cleaning of sewage line.
Growing suspicious, Bhatnagar questioned Vashisht's authority to get involved in the matter and found the pilot vehicle parked in front of his residence.
With the help of neighbours, the cameraman caught the driver, handed him over to police and lodged a complaint at Mukherjee Nagar police station.
