Delhi: DDA to launch housing scheme on Saturday, most expensive flat to sell for Rs 2 crore; check details

In important news for everyone who wants to buy a house in the national capital, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Saturday will launch a housing scheme for the sale in the 1,354 flats  High-Income Group (HIG)and Middle-Income Group (MIG), Low-Income group categories.

Through the housing scheme, the DDA is hoping for a good response as the houses are situated in decent areas that are well connected.

Out of the  1,354 flats,230 are HIG in Dwarka and Vasant Kunj, and 704 are MIG category flats in Jasola and Dwarka. For the economically weaker sections, 275 flats in Manglapuri, Dwarka, have been earmarked, and the remaining flats are in Rohini.

The HIG flats in Jasola are priced at Rs 2.1 crore.

It is to be noted that the costliest DDA flats were worth Rs1.7 crore in the HIG category, sold in the Vasant Kunj area in 2109.

According to reports from the Hindusthan Times, in 2019, DDA had put 18,000 flats on sale in 2019. It had to reduce the number to 10,294 later as the scheme did not have the desired response, out of which only 8,438 was sold.

Around 6,000 flats have been returned, Hindusthan Times quoted a senior official as saying.
