India Leadership Conclave will bring who’s who of India for brainstorming session.

Will the Indian economy bounce back in 2010? If you are looking for definitive answers, a good place to look is the India Leadership Conclave 2009, to be held in Delhi on September 26 at the Taj Palace hotel.

Organised by the Mumbai-based Wockhardt Foundation in association with Assocham and DNA, the conclave will see an all-star cast participating in its sessions (See Star cast).

Minister of state (independent charge) for corporate and minority affairs Salman Khurshid will deliver the keynote address. Awards will be presented to many achievers. While Rajiv Gandhi is being given a posthumous award for his leadership of modern India, ICICI’s KV Kamath and Yash Chopra are being given awards for lifetime achievement.

The conclave is being organised to raise funds for the Wockhardt Foundation, which runs 10 important social programmes to uplift the socially and economically underprivileged sections. The foundation aims to bring together one million “social warriors” to address social evils by using social media, Wockhardt Foundation CEO Huzaifa Khorakiwala said.

The conclave will have speakers addressing issues like consumer behaviour, banking reforms, the financial markets, employment and employability, the future of innovation, and the changing rules of competition in the global technology marketplace.
