Detection of Crime Branch arrests three in Rs3 lakh loot case

The Ahmedabad Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) on Thursday arrested three people, including a woman in connection with a robbery case.In the case valuables worth Rs3,34,500 was looted from a woman at knife point in Satellite area in April this year.

Acting on a tip-off, DCB police inspector DD Damor and his team arrested Vijay Prajapati, a resident of Noblenagar and recovered a mobile phone and wrist watch, each worth Rs5,000. During interrogation, Prajapati confessed that the valuables were stolen from the house in Satellite area on April 6 this year, the DCB said.

Prajapati also named Jitendra Kalla and his wife, both residents of Jivrajpark as accomplices.

DCB sleuths raided the couple's house and arrested them. They also seized imitation jewellery, silver articles and wrist watches from the Kalla's house.

The crime branch said that Prajapati, Kalla and three others entered the victim woman's house in Satellite, tied her and looted valuables at knife point. The woman had lodged a complaint in this regard at Satellite police station.
