DNA TV Show: Stage set for Delhi’s G20 Summit; know complete schedule of world’s largest conference

The entire world has its spotlight on the G20 Summit, which is set to be conducted in India for the first time, with an intricate schedule on the docket.

Today is September 7, and two days later, i.e. from September 9, the two-day G20 Summit will start in Delhi. And now with the arrival of the President of Nigeria, the process of arrival of guests has also started. However, most of the foreign guests will reach Delhi tomorrow i.e. on September 8.

The entire world has its spotlight set on the Modi government and New Delhi as India will turn first-time host for the G20 Summit. Delhi has gotten a facelift with the venue of the G20 Summit – the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi – dressed to the nines.

Here is the complete schedule of the G20 Summit, compressed in 10 points –

  • US President Joe Biden will leave the US today and will reach Delhi tomorrow i.e. on the evening of September 8.
  • On the evening of September 8, he will have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi.
  • After this, between 9 am and 10 am on September 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will welcome all the leaders of the G20 group.
  • After this, the first session of G20 will start, which has been named One Earth. This session will run from 10 am to lunch.
  • The second session of the G20 is called One Family. This session will start after lunch, and will run till evening.
  • On the first day of G20, there will be two sessions, which will be followed by cultural programs and dinner. This dinner has been given to G20 leaders by the President of India
  • On the second day of the summit i.e. on September 10, the leaders of G20 will be taken to Rajghat, where they will pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
  • After this, all the leaders will plant saplings in Bharat Mandapam.
  • After the tree plantation program, the third session of G20 will start... The name of this session will be One Future. That is, the name of the three sessions is based on the theme of G-20.
  • After the conclusion of the third session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over the Presidency of G20 to Brazil for next year.

The theme of this year's G20 Summit is 'One Earth, One Family and One Future'. Because this time Bharat Mandapam will show a glimpse of the cultural, democratic and natural heritage of not only India but the whole world.
