An anaesthesiologist from Vadodara has taken it upon himself to create awareness among school students who are the most affected by H1N1 virus. Dr Tushar Chokshi plans to meet one lakh students across the city within a month. He has already met 6,000 students in last two days.

Talking to DNA, Chokshi said, "There are wrong notions and a sense of panic among people across the city as they are not well aware of swine flu. Children below the age of 19 are most prone to the disease, which is why it is necessary to create awareness among them."

When asked about how this idea came to his mind, Chokshi said: "It happened when my daughter, a student of Rosary School, asked me about swine flu. It meant that there is lack of awareness about H1N1, which results in panic among students and their parents."

Chokshi approached his daughter's school and expressed his willingness to lecture students about the virus. "I intend to approach one lakh students within a month. From Monday, I plan to visit all corporation schools, as awareness is required everywhere," he added.
