After transfer of Ghaziabad district magistrate in the case of disruption of water supply to Delhi from upper Ganga canal due to Jats agitation, a DSP and SHO of Muradnagar have been shunted.
Senior superintendent of police of Ghaziabad, Raghubir Lal ordered sending DSP Kapil Dev and SHO of Muradnagar police station Sudhir Tyagi to police line for dereliction of duty, police sources said today.
DMR Ramesh was transferred on June 14 night by the Uttar Pradesh government for alleged negligence in dealing with the Jats agitation on June 13 which resulted in disruption of water supply to Delhi from upper Ganga canal in Muradnagar.
Hredesh Kumar, a 1999 batch IPS officer of Jammu and Kashmir, who is on deputation to the state, has replaced him.
Earlier, DSP of Garhmukteshwar was transfered from district on the day of agitation.
Regarding deployment of Rapid Action Force (RAF) at the upper Ganga in Muradnagar from where the water supply was disrupted by Jats, the new DM said they would continue to be posted there.
