Durgapur: BJP worker shot dead, Babul Supriya blames TMC

In another instance of political violence in West Bengal, a block level BJP worker in West Bengal has been killed on Sunday night. According to Union Minister and BJP MP Babul Supriyo, Sandip Ghosh was returning from a party meeting on Sunday night when he was brutally murdered. 

Along with Sandip, there were four others who have been injured in the attack. They are currently hospitalised. Babul Supriyo said that all four have alleged that TMC sponsored sand mafia Saiful is behind the attack. Ghosh was Rupganj Booth president of Asansol-Durgapur Kanksha Block. He is the latest in the line of men who have died due to political violence in West Bengal which has seen intense TMC-BJP fight in the last couple of years. 

Attacking TMC, Babul Supriyo said, "Deeply anguished& distressed in the manner TMC has resorted to  robbing young lives & ALL VERY MUCH within the knowledge of Mamta Banerjee". He accused that TMC is being run by money funded by mafia and the goon. Union Minister that such act of TMC won't be forgiven and it is just a matter of time, before the ruling party in Bengal perishes.

TMC and BJP are currently locked in a legal fight over the saffron party not being given permission to hold Rath Yatra in the state. The matter is pending at the Calcutta HC, even though the court has slammed the state government for not responding to BJP's letters.
