Earthquake in Tripura: An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter Scale struck near Dharmanagar in Tripura on Saturday. According to the National Center for Seismology, the quake's epicentre is 72 kilometres northeast of Dharmanagar. The earthquake occurred at around 3:48 pm.
"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.4, Occurred on 09-09-2023, 15:48:31 IST, Lat: 24.76 & Long: 92.74, Depth: 43 Km ,Location: 72km NE of Dharmanagar, Tripura, India," National Center for Seismology tweeted on Saturday. More details are awaited. This comes after a powerful earthquake of 7.2 magnitude wreaked havoc in Morroco on Friday night, killing at least 820 people.
