Eminent Gujarati writer Bhupat Vadodaria passes away at 82

Bhupat Vadodaria, a popular writer and journalist with more than 50 books to his credit passed away on October 4.

Eminent Gujarati writer, noted journalist and founder-editor of Sambhav media group, Bhupat Vadodaria, is no more. He breathed his last on Tuesday night. He was 82. 

His last rites will be performed at Thaltej crematorium on Wednesday at 10 am. Vadodaria was a popular author with more than 50 books on literature, social and family issues, and also novels and autobiographies to his credit. 

His 'Panchamrut' column was popular in Abhiyaan weekly. He was one of the youngest editors of 'Phoolchhab' daily and his novel 'Prem Ek Pooja' was selected for Gujarati Sahitya Academy award. He had also worked as the director of state information department.  Vadodaria is survived by his four sons - Rajesh, Shailesh, Manoj and Kiran.
