The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached properties of the accused in connection with the 2010 Commonwealth Games scam under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA).

Accordingly, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered cases against the accused.

In 2010, after the Commonwealth Games concluded, various scams involving  pilferage of around Rs 70,000 crore were revealed.
