A 22-year-old student of a private engineering college allegedly committed suicide today under mysterious condition at the residence of a junior girl student of the same institute in Indore, police said.
Mahipal Singh Thakur, a third year BE student, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of a room in the residence of the girl, Ritu Sharma, they said.
The house in the MIG area was taken on rent by Ritu.
Mahipal reached Ritu's house late last night after which they had a fight over some issue. Later, Ritu injured herself by cutting veins of her hands following which Mahipal provided first-aid, they said.
Early in the morning a friend of Mahipal informed the police that he had committed suicide at Ritu's house.
Police found bruises on Mahipal's body, which has been sent for post-mortem.
A case has been registered and further probe was on.
