"We are investigating the case and trying to find out the motive for the murder. We have got the phone details of the victim," said Chawda.
Waghela's mother Lalitaben has lodged a complaint with the police. Waghela
belongs to Sanand. Lalitaben has two sons and a daughter. Her son Kunal and daughter Jalpa are studying in London, while Divyang was unemployed. Waghela is survived by his wife Rita and two daughters, Nishi, 5 and Pratyancha, 3. On the day of the incident the victim was watching TV late at night on Wednesday when he received a phone call on his mobile.
He told the caller to come and meet him. When the caller came, Waghela stepped out of his house. Soon a shot was heard and Waghela screamed for his mother. When his wife and mother came he told them that he was shot by Gohil. The wife and mother screamed for help and soon people gathered around Waghela.
Waghela was taken to the VS hospital but he was declared brought dead. Police has filed a case against Gohil. A look at Waghela's phone record showed that Gohil's phone number was saved under the name Anal.
The police also questioned a man named Anal. FSL, dog squad, members of ST/SC cell and crime branch also rushed to the spot where the incident took place. Police believe that Gohil must have arrived in a vehicle and must have been accompanied by another man.
