Haji Ajmal Ali, father of Assam MLA Baduruddin Ajmal died of old age on Tuesday, in his Mumbai residence.
Haji Ali leaves behind five sons among whom is Ajmal who is the president of the Assam state Jamiat and also a minority
dominated political party, Assam United Democratic Front (AUDF).
The state unit of Jamiat has condoled the death of Ali, who was a prominent businessman and a social worker.
