Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today demanded "strictest action" by the central leadership against terrorists.
"Terrorists are ceaselessly trying to drench the land of this nation with blood. People are fed-up with mere promises and what they now want from the leadership is the strictest action," Modi said, reacting to the blast outside Delhi high court in which eleven people were killed today.
Expressing sympathy for the families of the victims, Modi said that fight against terrorism is not a matter of politics but of policies. Leadership of this nation should come up with clean policies and clear intentions and need to be resolute in rooting out terrorism.
"We are repeatedly becoming victims of terrorism. How long the innocent people will be victimised by the terrorists? We need to learn from those countries which have ensured that terror acts did not repeat," Modi stated.
"People of this nation also want firm and severe action from the leadership," Modi observed.
He said that this was the second terrorist attack near Delhi High Court. "The first attack, fortunately, did not harm the people but today’s attack revealed that terrorists had a barbaric plan at that time also", he said.
