Sangh Parivar leader Sadhvi Ritambhara today said controversies and talk on individuals should be brushed aside, and the full energy and focus should be on the issue of tackling corruption and black money.
"After great difficulty, people get a leadership which fights on issue", she told reporters. Ritambhara termed the present days as an "auspicious time" for the fight against corruption and black money, and said it should not be frittered away by controversies and focusing on various individuals.
On social activist Swami Agnivesh expressing apprehension over her presence on the dais with Baba Ramdev at Ramlila grounds, Ritambhara said she participated in the protest in her capacity as a citizen of the country, and one who is agitated over the corrupt system. "It's my right and my duty", she added.
On the controversy over Agnivesh's statement about her being communal, she said it's an attempt to divert attention from the fight against corruption. "Don't talk about individuals; focus on the issue," Ritambhara said.
She said all saints are with Ramdev but hastened to add it's a national issue, and not just confined to sadhus.
Ritambhara also said she plans set up a "Vatsalya Gram" in Karnataka, adding a search is on to acquire land.
She said 'Vatsalya Gram' substitutes orphanage for children, 'Nari Niketan' for widows, separated or thrown out of the family or destitute women and old age home for elderly persons who have been ill-treated by their own children.
