Four car lifters nabbed in Orissa, taken to Delhi on remand
A team of Delhi and Haryana police arrested four members of an inter-state gang of car lifters, including its alleged kingpin, and seized 12 stolen vehicles from them.
A team of Delhi and Haryana police arrested four members of an inter-state gang of car lifters, including its alleged kingpin, and seized 12 stolen vehicles from them. After week-long raids with help from local counterparts, Delhi Police today took all the four car lifters on transit remand for their trial in the national capital.The stolen cars, bearing forged registration numbers were also recovered. The vehicles were all smuggled from Delhi.The arrested gang members have been identified as Samsad Ahmad, Sajid Khan, Sarfaraj Ahmed and Soumya Ranjan Das.Samsad, who owns a motor garage here, is said to bethe kingpin of the gang.
