Four persons drowned in Cauvery river at Muthathi, about 35 kms away from here, police said today.
   
The tragedy occurred yesterday when the victims, who were employees of a private firm in Bangalore, went for a swim, police said.
   
Efforts were on to trace the bodies of the four, police said.
