Two cranes, lifting a launcher that was entangled in the crumbled section of a collapsed bridge, toppled in South Delhi's Jamrudpur area, the accident site, injuring workers.

A day after six people were killed when an under-construction bridge of the Delhi Metro collapsed here, at least four persons were today injured in another accident at the same site during clearance of debris from Sunday's mishap.

Two cranes, lifting a launcher that was entangled in the crumbled section of a collapsed bridge, toppled in South Delhi's Jamrudpur area, the accident site, causing injuries to
four people.

The launcher also came down along with the two cranes when its wires snapped and collapsed, eyewitnesses said. They said they saw police taking away those injured from
the site soon after the mishap. Delhi Metro spokesperson Anuj Dayal said only one crane had toppled.

Police have cordoned off the area and are trying to ascertain if anybody is trapped under the debris, eyewitnesses said.
