G20 Summit 2023: When and at what time will world leaders like Joe Biden, Rishi Sunak, and others arrive in India?

Leaders from the world's major economies are converging in New Delhi, under India's leadership, to address critical global challenges, all against the backdrop of heightened global tensions due to the Ukraine conflict. India has taken extensive measures to bolster security and logistics for this significant event, including the use of drones, murals, and even large langur cutouts.

While some world leaders, like Nigeria's President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have already graced Indian soil as of September 5, several others are scheduled to arrive today and tomorrow.

Here's a glimpse of the arrival schedule:

- Argentine President Alberto Fernandez was slated to touch down today at 6:20 am.

- The Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to arrive at 8:50 am.

- President of the African Union Azali Assoumani is expected at 10:25 am.

- Cyril Ramaphosa is set to arrive at 11:45 am.

- Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina's plane is due around 12:30 pm.

- Rishi Sunak's anticipated arrival time is 1:40 pm. Interestingly, his Indian-origin relatives are organizing a warm welcome, complete with a feast and lively Punjabi music.

More arrivals:

- The Japanese PM Fumio Kishida to arrive at 2:15 pm.

- The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman Al-Saud to arrive at 4:50 pm.

- Anthony Albanese is due at 6:15 pm.

- Joe Biden is expected to land at 6:55 pm and engage in a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

- Justin Trudeau is set to arrive at 7 pm.

- Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled for 10:15 pm.

Notably, German Chancellor Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron are planning to arrive tomorrow, with Scholz touching down at 8 am and Macron at 12:30 pm.

In an unfortunate turn of events, Spanish President Sanchez Perez Castejon has tested positive for COVID-19 and, via Twitter, announced his regrettable absence from the G20 Summit. He expressed that while he feels well, he won't be able to travel to New Delhi for the event.

Upon their arrival, each leader will be received by designated ministers, with Ashwini Kumar Choubey welcoming Rishi Sunak, General (Retd) VK Singh receiving Joe Biden, and Rajeev Chandrasekhar extending greetings to Justin Trudeau.
