Ganesh Chaturthi 2017: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis goes the eco-friendly way

He also said the family was celebrating the festival at their native place

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis led by example and brought home an eco-friendly idol for the festivities at his official residence Varsha. 

The chief minister told reporters that his family had been bringing home a Ganesh idol for the past 11 years at his native place Mool in Chandrapur. He added that his uncle was organising the festivities back home.

The chief minister also appealed to the Lord’s devotees to participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a New India.
