A four-member armed gang waylaid, assaulted a father-son duo and relieved them of 1.5kg gold jewellery valued at Rs30 lakh near Bangalore, police said today.
The duo were returning home in Srirampura area last night after a hallmark certification of the jewellery when the gang attacked them and fled with the booty.
The father was seriously injured in the attack and has been admitted to a hospital while his son suffered minor injuries, police said.
Police have launched a hunt for the culprits.
