A new bench of the Allahabad High Court has said that the government behaved in an irresponsible manner while undertaking land acquisation. It has assured the farmers whose land has been acquired that action will be taken against those responsible.
Earlier in the day, a division bench of the Allahabad high court recused itself from hearing a writ petition filed by farmers from a village in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, who had challenged acquisition of more than 100 hectares of land by UP government for housing projects in NOIDA Extension area.
The next day for hearing is on August 17.
