In a significant development, a Special cell of the Delhi Police arrested a 21-year-old climate activist named Disha Ravi from Bengaluru in connection with Greta Thunberg toolkit case on Saturday (February 13). According to Delhi Police, Disha Ravi edited the tooklit and then forwarded it to others.
It may be recalled that earlier Delhi Police had sought help from Google to trace the IP address of the authors who uploaded the toolkit on the ongoing farmers’ protest at Delhi borders.
It is learnt that Disha Ravi is one of the founders of the 'Friday for Future' campaign. A case reagrding the toolkit shared by Greta on Twitter was filed by Delhi Police on February 4.
Earlier teen Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg had shared a 'toolkit' advising people on how to show support for the farmers protesting against the three contentious farm laws in India. Later, Greta had deleted that link and uploaded a new toolkit.
The toolkit shared by Greta included a document on details of January 26 protests and online and street protests. The toolkit asked people to tag Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in their tweets against the new farm laws.
It details how and where the protests should be done outside Indian missions abroad, media houses, government buildings and even Adani-Ambani offices.
The original toolkit shared by Greta, which now stands deleted, called for digital strike on or before January 26 in support of protesting farmers.
