VADODARA: The Gujrat Police on Tuesday said that full proof security would be provided to batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar during the One-Day International match between India and England to be played at Rajkot on November 14.
After visiting the Madhavrao Scindia Stadium in Rajkot, Police Commissioner Sudhir Sinha said tight security would be provided to the world's highest Test run-getter.
However, Sinha refused to give details about the security plan.
Sinha's comments came after some newspaper reports claimed that that some terrorist groups have issued a life threating to Tendulkar during the final Test against Australia in Nagpur starting Thursday.
However, on Monday the Maharashtra Police rubbished those reports and said, "There is no specific threat to any individual player and there is no threat input.
