The Gujjar agitation has started in Rajasthan once again for the demand for reservation. Led by Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla and Vijay Bainsla, protesters from the Gujjar community blocked the railway tracks in Pilupura and even uprooted the tracks.
Due to the protest, trains on the Delhi-Mumbai route have been stopped. While talking to Zee Rajasthan, Colonel Bainsla said that the outline of the movement will now depend on the decision of the government. "I am waiting for Minister Ashok Chandna," he said.
On the other hand, it has been learnt that Vijay Bainsla has rejected the government proposal put forward by Sanjay Goyal.
Meanwhile, Ashok Chandna, Colonel Bainsla and other Gurjar leaders reached Hindaun for talks, but due to blocking the road, they returned to Jaipur. Minister Ashok Chandna has appealed to the agitators not to engage in violence.
As a precaution, internet services have been snapped in some areas of Alwar district that are dominated by the Gurjar community. The areas include Thanagaji, Narayanpur, Malakhera and Sadar police stations.
A meeting of Gurjar leaders is also scheduled for Monday in Natni's Baran area. Further action will be taken on getting instructions from Pilukapura. Currently, the state administration is on alert.
The Gurjars have blocked the railway tracks for their demands and warned the government that they would not go off until their demands were met. Due to this, Indian Railways had to change the route of 16 trains running between Delhi and Mumbai. Many trains were diverted on the Jhansi-Bina-Nagda route.
A delegation of Gurjar leaders held talks with the state government on Saturday and both sides had agreed on 14 points. After the meeting, Gurjar leader Himmat Singh had said that the talks were positive, society would be satisfied with this and there would be no need for agitation. However, Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla did not attend the meeting.
