An active member of proscribed CPI (Maoist) Jamuna Paswan wanted in connection with the killing of a police inspector was arrested from Telhatta Dhamani village under Kauakol police station limits of naxalite affected Nawada district of Bihar late last night, police said today.
The sources said that Paswan was evading arrest ever since he was made a prime accussed in the killing of police inspector Kapildeo Praasad at Mahuliatand village under Khaira police station area of the district 2003.
The inspector was waylaid by the naxalites who slit his throat while he was on way to investigate the case related to the killing of the mukhiya of Darupawel panchayat for not paying levy (extortion money) to the outfit.
