5 ministers suffer defeat

As per Election Commission trends, 5 ministers suffer defeat while  Subhash Barala, state BJP chief loses Tohana seat.

In Tohana, Subhash Barala, state BJP chief lost against Devender Singh Babli's Jannayak Janta Party by 52302 votes.

Kavita Jain, an Urban Local Bodies Minister in Haryana, lost against Congress's Surendra Pawar by 32878 votes in Sonipat.

In Radaur, BJP's Bishan Lal lost against Congress's Karan Dev by 2541 votes.

In Israna reserved seat, Balbir Singh of Indian National Congress won against Krishan Lal Panwar of BJP  by a margin of 20015 votes.

Ram Bilas Sharma, education minister and five-time legislator from BJP, lost by a margin of 10220 votes against Rao Dan Singh of Congress in Mahendragarh constituency.

Another minister, Captain Abhimanyu of BJP lost against Ram Kumar Gautam of Jannayak Janta Party by 12029 votes in Narnaud.

In Rohtak, Manish Kumar Grover, a BJP minister from Haryana lost against Congress's Bharat Bhushan Batra by 2735 votes.

Omprakash Dhankar, Agriculture Minister lost against Congress’s Kuldeep Vats by 11245 votes.

Counting of votes for Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 is underway. Polling took place on October 21.

Polling in 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 took place on Monday to decide the fate of 1,169 candidates. Voting began at 7 AM and ended at 6 PM on the same day. Till 6 PM the overall voter turnout was recorded at 61.72%.

Harayana is looking forward to a hung assembly as both the BJP and the Congress are not likely to secure a majority.
