A local court today issued a PT (prisoners transit) warrant against Pune-based businessman owner Hasan Ali Khan in connection with a case in which he is accused of procuring a fake passport from Hyderabad.

The 12th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Court in Hyderabad allowed the PT application of Hyderabad Police and issued the PT warrant directing them to produce the accused before the court by November 14.

Hasan Ali, who is also facing charges of money laundering and tax evasion in a case filed by Enforcement Directorate (ED), is accused of obtaining five passports from different parts of India, including Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner AK Khan had earlier said they sought to interrogate Hasan Ali Khan on the charges of obtaining a passport from here by fraudulent means.

"Hasan Ali while applying for a passport from Hyderabad in 2000, showed his residential address as that of his divorced wife. He procured another passport from the Indian High Commission in London stating that he had lost the passport issued in Hyderabad," the Hyderabad Police chief had said.

Hasan Ali Khan is presently in judicial custody and is lodged at Arthur Road jail in Mumbai.
