Pramukh Swami Maharaj's last public appearance

The 95-year-old spiritual leader was undergoing treatment for chest infection. PM Modi has expressed regret at his passing away.

The spiritual head of ​Boachasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha (BAPS) Swaminarayan Sanstha Pramukh Swami Maharaj breathed his last on Saturday at around 6 PM in Sarangpur.

According to a report, Pramukh Swami was undergoing treatment for chest infection, however his condition was declared stable on Friday. 

The 95-year-old spiritual leader, has contracted chest infection for the second time.

PM Modi took to Twitter saying that he would miss him and his services would be remembered.

Former CM of Gujarat Anandiben Patel said, "Deeply saddened by the demise of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Interactions with him were true source of inspiration and wisdom!"

He was born on December 7, 1921 in Vadodara district.
