Heavy rains lash Delhi, showers likely even tomorrow

The on-going spell of rains brought the maximum temperature down to 32.8 degree Celsius, one degree below normal, while the minimum settled as 24 degree Celsius three degrees below normal.

Heavy rains lashed Delhi for the second consecutive day today bringing the mercury down and the weatherman has forecast more showers tomorrow.

The overall rains during the day in the last 12 hours till 5.30 pm was recorded as 8.1 mm. The city recorded 62.7 mm of rains in the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 AM today, the meteorological office said.

So far, the city has received a total 304.9 mm of rains after the monsoon reached the capital on July 5.

According to the weatherman, the maximum and minimum humidity was registered at 97 and 61% respectively.

The meteorological office has forecast a cloudy sky with a few spells of rains in many areas and heavy rains in some areas tomorrow.

The maximum and minimum temperatures would continue to hover around 32 and 25 degree Celsius, it said.
