Custom officials today seized 862gms heroin valued at Rs4.31 crore in the international market from a goods train that came to India from Pakistan.
During routine checking of train at Attari railway station, something suspicious was noticed in the outer iron wheel of bogey as a part of the shoe pad of the brake was not properly fitted, assistant customs commissioner VK Mahajan said.
A packet carrying 862gms heroin was seized when the part of the brake assembly was dismantled, he added.
Mahajan said the contraband drug was sent to India from Pakistan through the goods train.
