A hoax message of a car accident involving Baba Ramdev on the Mumbai-Pune highway on Tuesday had gone viral on Whatsapp. The messages doing the rounds suggested that the yoga guru along with four others had been injured in a car accident while they was going from Pune to Mumbai. One of the photos show Ramdev on a stretcher.
However, the highway control officers debunked the rumours. An officer told DNA: "No such incident has taken place on the Mumbai-Pune highway. The messages are fake." The photos are actually from 2011, when the yoga guru was taken to a hospital in Bihar after an accident.
