Hope all Indians return home safely from Iraq: Parkash Singh Badal

Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal, today hoped that all the Indians stranded in Iraq return home safe and sound.

Badal said, "The central government is trying their best for the nurses. I am in constant contact of the central government, the officer appointed by them and the ambassador of Baghdad. I pray to God that all people come home safe and sound."

46 Indian nurses who were being held captive in Iraq are expected to reach home at around 11.45 am today while the 39 Indian construction workers abducted two weeks ago in Mosul remain in confinement.

A special Air India flight carrying 46 Indian nurses who were stranded in Iraq and 70 others landed in Mumbai at 8:43 am today. The plane had taken off from the airport in Erbil last night.
